shipping

Thursday was our big shipping day. Wednesday we stayed up until midnight taping boxes, got up at 6, carried 53(!) boxes down 3 flights of stairs, packed it all onto the pickup we borrowed . We could not have fit one more box...then drove out to Chicago and dropped it off (it took 2 hours to load up and get ready, it took 30 minutes to take it off and get it packed on pallets). 53 boxes make up about a ton or 3 cubic meters (FYI). Anyway, the first big hurdle is taken.

Next shock- we shipped the titles of the Bus and our car to Germany. Did I expect otherwise?

And now the best news. The Bus sputtered to life this evening at 8:13pm for a few seconds (after changing the fuel pump (1week), cleaning the injectors(3 Days), having issues with the cold start thingy(today), then retesting loads of things like timing and valves (today) A. being very very frustrated, then showing our visitors the bus - it suddenly started up...) but now we have to free the exhaust from mousepoop to keep the bus running...
